Interesting fire ravaged house all alone in seclusion where the last resident loved their old VHS porno tapes. Explored around March 2021 where I filmed and photographed to share with you all. The building can be spotted from the main road and as a result has become home to fly tippers and clearly not the first explorer here. Because I wasn’t too sure if it was abandoned, I came unprepared and only had my phone and small tripod, so the quality of my visit is not the best, so some of the photos are screengrabs from the video I shot. The video is a very bumpy p.o.v walkabout for the first half then the rest is relaxing location views.

A little history. Not much information about this place what I did find is that the house appears on the maps from 1901 in the area of Beezling Fen. In recent history there was a house fire in March 2020.

 

The Find. Drove past and clocked this location as a possible explore from a few tell-tale signs. Wasn’t 100% sure it was abandoned so I put it on my list and tried to do some homework. Still wasn’t to sure until I rocked up on the day and saw the mess that’s been dumped around the grounds.

The Explore. Going in solo. Easy to drive into the grounds into the overgrown drive from the road. Coming from the back there is a backdoor that’s near an outdoor loo, that has been cut in half, with a big step over this is the way into the house. The smell of burnt remains is very strong and this will get onto your clothing. This back door leads into the kitchen and to the left a bathroom. What you will notice is whoever lived here loved to collect old newspapers and magazines as there are many piled up some churned black from the fire.

It must have been a nightmare scenario to escape from while the place burned with having to climb over the mess. Going forward you come to the living room. It was an absolute mess with charred remains of the hording of years of C.Ds, Tapes  bits of paper piles and rubbish, this all had to be climbed over and not easy to get a footing and with it being dark effected the quality of the video. 

There was a downstairs bedroom that was a complete mess I had a little look around but not much interest. 

Heading upstairs there was two Bedrooms. The first room had a lovely still playable piano and a lot more mess. The other room, books and 100s of vintage VHS pornos. The room also still has a lot of clothing hanging up in place from whoever last used them

Back outside the main house there are a number wooden outbuilding. Some large and some filled with rubbish. Most of this rubbish looks recent from fly Tipping.

Ease of Access 8 – Easy to drive up and park in the drive. The building can be accessed by simply stepping through a broken door.

 

History 3 – Nothing of note apart from the fire. 

 

Danger/Safety 5 – Lot of fire damage with rubbish everywhere so you must watch your step. Could be fixed up as there is not much structural damage. 

 

Harassment 8 – No sign of anyone around. Likely no one cares about the place.

 

Interesting 6 – As you walk through the mess, you imagine and see the life of the people that lived there. The building is worth exploring and contains many interesting items.
